Since 2007, SOSAD has worked to raise awareness and help prevent suicide in Ireland. We have worked tirelessly in our communities to help those in need feel supported and know they are not alone on their journey. SOSAD offers support and services for people who are going through bereavement, struggling with a loss of a loved one, suffering with mental health issues, suffering with stress and anxiety, struggling with isolation, or if you simply need someone to talk to.
If you want to talk, we are here to listen. You can message us, call us, or call into our office.
We have six offices based in Cavan, Louth, Meath and Monaghan from which we provide our services.
We offer a number of free, professional services to those in need including:
- Professional counselling
- 24 hour helpline
- Crisis interventions
- Bereavement Support
- Messaging Service
- Walk & Talk Therapy
- Drop in (Cavan)
- Young People Matter
- DBT Skills Group
As we receive no government funding we rely solely on Donations, Fundraising and Grants. Any donation no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated as generosity and support allows us to keep delivering our life saving service to the community.
In 2020 across our services:
