Spazas are local community cafes and sell all sorts of things. Our Sikhula Sonke online "SPAZA" has stationery, school clothes, paper, computers, shoes and food on its virtual shelves. Sikhula Sonke not only provides early childhood development interventions, but also tries to meet practical needs wherever possible.  These needs include:

  • Stationery packs for school
  • School clothes for Grade 1 learners (R50 per shirt)
  • Shoes - R150 per pair to keep small feet walking and playing all day
  • Paper for our office and outreach programmes
  • Computers and tablets for our staff to use in the field - R1000 to R5000 per item
  • Food - a donation of R20 will give a child a meal (perhaps the only one)

We would like to invite you to "buy" from our SPAZA, and give a child from Khayelitsha a gift that is both practical and brings dignity.
