African Wildlife Vets is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of African wildlife. As part of our ongoing efforts to safeguard endangered species, we are launching a new campaign to raise funds for a rhino dehorning project.
The aim of this project is to protect 45 rhinos from poachers who seek to profit from the illegal trade of rhino horn. Rhino horn is highly sought after for its supposed medicinal properties, despite there being no scientific evidence to support these claims. As a result, poaching has become a major threat to rhino populations across Africa.
Dehorning is the removal of both posterior and anterior horns of black and white rhinos. Rhino dehorning is one of the preventative measures conservationists take to reduce the number of rhino's poached.
In total, we are aiming to raise R180,000 to fund the entire project, this covers all veterinary expenses. We believe that with your help, we can make this project a reality and protect these rhinos for generations to come.
By supporting this campaign, you will be making a tangible difference in the fight against poaching and the conservation of African wildlife. Your donation will help us cover the costs of dehorning the rhinos and ensuring their continued protection.
Thank you for your support and for joining us in our mission to safeguard Africa's precious wildlife. Together, we can make a difference.
