Casa Frida is a Refuge located in Mexico City that provides rescue, accommodation, care and comprehensive health care for LGBTI + people fleeing extreme violence, persecuted and displaced people, people who migrate and young people who are expelled from their homes at reason their sexual orientation, gender identity and / or expression, including people with HIV and other key populations.
As of May 13, 2020, we undertook the task of building a safe and community space by providing shelter to young gays, lesbians, trans and non-binary people, as well as drug users and / or sex workers, people who they live with HIV and in general they are in situations of risk and vulnerability.
Provide accommodation, security, psychosocial care and specialized comprehensive services for the LGBTIQ community expelled from their homes due to their sexual orientation, gender identity and / or expression, containment and protection to persecuted and forcibly displaced people in the region and the world , survivors of ECOSIG and other structural violence, accompanying individual and community processes towards their dignified socio-economic and cultural reintegration.
Contribute to the construction of safe spaces for the LGBTIQ + community through political and cultural advocacy, with a view to fair, equitable and egalitarian territories, hand in hand with civil society and governments in the next decade.
Respond immediately to situations of extreme urgency, by rescuing and housing women, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and non-binary people who have been exposed to violence based on sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
