Rise Above Development (RAD) has an urgent call for support to assist with the purchase of a much-needed safety and security fence for their new youth centre and sports facility in Lavender Hill. RAD hopes to raise R1.8 million (€100,000) to realise their vision, mission, and dream of creating a safe space for the youth of Lavender Hill to learn and play. 

Through a venue, sports facilities, equipment, and training, RAD’s objective is to serve as a platform that increases opportunities for all the youth of Lavender Hill to express themselves creatively. This will help develop the young generation and inspire them to create a better, integrated future by providing them with the facilities and infrastructure they desperately need. 

RAD has secured the containers for the first phase of development, but still requires the much-needed and most necessary safety and security fence. 

The fence plays an essential role in the development, as it will provide a safe space away from the gangs and the gun violence that plagues this beautiful community.
