The IUCN SSC Hornbill Specialist Group has launched the Abyssinian or Northern Ground-hornbill Working Group. We have a beautiful collaboration with the Kwame Nkrumah Univ. of Science & Technology, Mole National Park and the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission. This is the pioneering project, with a Ghanian PhD and MSc student taking up the helm. The aim is to replicate this work throughout several range-states. But we need help: we need first and foremost a 4x4 vehicle to undertake the fieldwork, and then support for our fieldwork and field team.
