Lovin' Spoonfuls is proud to be an official Partner of John Hancock in the Marathon Non-Profit Program!
All donations go directly toward our mission of alleviating the environmental effects of food waste while addressing food insecurity. Established in 2010, Lovin’ Spoonfuls serves roughly 60 cities and towns in Greater Boston, MetroWest, and Hampden County, and works with more than 80 food vendors (like grocery stores, wholesalers, farms, and farmers’ markets) and 185+ nonprofit partners (from local pantries and meal programs, to shelters, addiction treatment and recovery programs, senior centers, after-school programs, and more). We are committed to increasing awareness on topics related to wasted food and hunger.
Each week, Lovin’ Spoonfuls rescues over 87,000 pounds of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, dairy and so much more. And that wholesome food, in turn, feeds over 50,000 neighbors across Massachusetts. We also provide educational programming to those we serve so they can make the most of their food deliveries.
We couldn't continue our work without the generous support of individuals, please help us make this year our most successful Boston Marathon ever!
