Living Legends was founded in 2010 on the belief that every child has the right to broaden their horizons and to pursue a happy and productive life. The reality, however, is that many South African children are growing up in circumstances that are not conducive to self-discovery and growth.
We currently present the Living Legends School Programme to 17 schools in the Western and Eastern Cape. We train and deploy instructors to present our CAPS aligned curriculum in schools, on a full-time basis.
The Living Legends core programme combines a range of essential learning areas and topics to form a well-balanced 32 week learning curriculum. The programme is age appropriately formulated for Grade R to Grade 7 learners and includes physical education, life skills training and themed workshops. We have a specialised programme for differently abled children called Living Legends Enable Programme.
Our objective is to present our well tested Living Legends School Programme to as many South African children as possible, because it makes a meaningful impact on young lives.
Our primary beneficiaries are underserved school children residing in low-income communities. Within this grouping we distinguish an additional beneficiary group as children living with disabilities that include physical and mental challenges. Our secondary beneficiary group includes schools principals and teachers. Tertiary beneficiaries are the parents and communities of the children that benefit from our services. The Living Legends Programme is also beneficial to the youth instructors we train and employ.
We need your help to reach and help South African children to broaden their horizons.
