IYX Africa is a registered non-profit organization (NPC K2020568411) that offers remote assistance to Indigenous communities in rural areas of Southern Africa. Our primary focus is to teach youth sustainable development, in particular: how to grow food using natural principles, natural wellness as well as to report on current events effecting indigenous communities the world over. We also strive to archive and document Indigenous Knowledge Systems, Languages and Customs from both rural and urban perspctives through our online radio station IYX Radio available on soundcloud and youtube.
Our Vision is to act as a catalyst to inspire and support individuals and communities to pursue sustainable development. This is achieved through innovative 'envirotainment' (environmental entertainment) methods and tools. We focus on food security and environmentalism for remote and rural communities. This is to improve the livelihood of remote youth and increase their access to opportunities, skills and to develop their confidence.
IYX Africa has selected projects and events that take place throughout the year and we provide assitance through our #IYXmove iniatative as we work to shed light on Indigenous Human Rights violations and provide workable solutions for these impoverished communities who need the assistance most.
