Benjamin Lourens Hofmeyr 17 February 2015 - 23 June 2022

The parents of young Benjamin Hofmeyr who sadly passed away after putting up a brave and inspiring fight against AT and HLH, (Ataxia-telangiectasia / Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis) have asked that gifts be made to DKMS Africa in lieu of gifts to the family. 

We extend our most heartfelt condolences to all affected by the loss of this beautiful child and we hope that some comfort will come in knowing that Benjamin's legacy lives on in both the awareness he has brought to the need for stem cell donation and the lives that will be saved as a result of donations made in his honour. 

All donations received will go directly towards our work, recruiting donors for our global stem cell registry and supporting patients in need with the costs of transplant.  All donations made to this campaign will be met by RMI.
