Vusi Mathe is 20 years old and from Acornhoek, a local community on the doorstep of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. However, until he got involved in the Wild Shots Outreach programme he had never seen any of the wildlife that so many international tourists come to view.
Through Wild Shots Outreach he developed a love of wildlife photography and went on to complete a placement at Garonga Safari Camp in the Makalali Conservancy, where he finally got to see the wildlife he had dreamed of seeing. Here he really shone and thrived! So much so that Garonga have managed to arrange a bursary place on the Bushwise Field Guide course starting in Jan 2020 for him. Vusi is on his way to becoming a Field Guide but we are asking for your help to make his dream a reality.
The funds raised will be managed by the NPO ‘Wild Shots Outreach’ and will be used for the cost of driving lessons before his course starts, study materials to use on the course, study essentials like binoculars and a monthly stipend for him during the course to cover costs of transport home.
We would be thrilled if you could help Vusi to reach his full potential and become one of the wildlife warriors of tomorrow!
