Poverty and poor education can not be wiped out in a single generation, but that doesn't mean we can't take steps in the right direction. Salesian Institute Youth Projects works through the Learn to Live School of Skills, to give each generation of children a better chance at success than their parents had. The Learn to Live School of Skills presents a holistic approach for youth who, due to socio-economic circumstances, cannot gain access to, or cope in, mainstream schooling.
The Learn to Live School equips vulnerable learners ages 14-18 years with all the supplies they need to receive a basic education and vocational training free of charge. The School relies on kind support from organisations, donors and the public alike. All gifts, large or small, are gratefully received and directly support the education and skills training of youth.
