Raising funds to keep NCI-Froward Point station operational

Like other NCI stations Froward Point is manned entirely by volunteers who look out at sea for all seafarers and, on land, as a contact point for users of the coast path, cliffs and shore.

The station is part of SARS [UK Search & Rescue Service], reports to HM Coastguard and operates 365 days a year.

During 2004/2005, £30000 was raised to set up the Lookout and it is totally dependent on the generosity of individuals, companies, and other organisations to raise the £10000 needed each year to keep it operational.
