i4118's main objective is to mentor children and teens so they can grow up to be accountable, productive members of society. We are confident that by providing a future generation with long-term mentorship, focusing on character development, mental health, and healing, we can help them develop strong family and community values. As our mentee’s progress through our program, we identify and mentor some of them to become "big brothers and sisters" and our ultimate goal being for them to one day become mentors themselves.

As we learn more about the difficulties that the children and their parents experience and develop solid relationships with them, we are better able to speak into their lives.

Even though we cannot alter the surroundings or conditions in which they live, we can teach them how to manage their predicament, assist them to break the behaviour cycles that keep them stuck, and show them that their perception of themselves, not their circumstances, defines who they are.
