Learning in Reach sources a partnership of R 6 700 (in 2020) for each preschool learner & family accepted into our ECD bursary partnership program.
The term partnership, as opposed to sponsorship, is used as it better reflects Learning in Reach's funding philosophy. Funding a learner is a partnership between the parents or guardians, the teachers and preschool, the government, the additional partner and Learning in Reach's quality ECD modelling.
Parents participate in parent skills and socio-economic development courses and commit to active participation in the school where their child is placed.
Children are placed in preschools that meet Learning in Reach's criteria, that are already registered ECD centres with Department of Social Development or have a compliance plan with Learning in Reach and are actively meeting their development goals.
