Dear SAVE Supporters,
We are collecting funds, blankets, second hand clothes, non-perishable food items, beds and any building materials for the 500 people left homeless after the fires in Dunoon on Tuesday morning this week.
As most of you are aware, as a part of our community outreach programs SAVE Foundation supports 6 educare centres in Dunoon.
Many of our children and teachers have been badly affected by the Dunoon blaze, most left with nothing except their ID books and the clothes they have on their backs.
All funds will go to supplying food for the soup kitchen we have partnered with and the above mentioned items.
Are you able to assist?
We are appealing for any donations of second school uniforms, clothes, *blankets* and shoes that will help keep these families warm while they try find building materials to rebuild a shelter.
With the turn in weather and winter knocking on our doors, (with glorious rain hopefully) we are hoping to collect items and distribute through Blouberg Rotary Club sponsored Zuzakhe Educare in Dunoon.
In times like this, we need to react as quickly as the flames that demolished the 100 shacks of these families in less than a few hours.
If you would like to contribute please get in touch, we can arrange to collect from your home or alternatively please pop into Salty Crax Backpackers, 22 Briza, Blouberg and drop off any donations with our reception team.
If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Your continued support and community spirit is greatly appreciated! Please share this post with friends, family and colleagues.
With Thanks and Big Love,
