Healing Lesvos in synergy with the University of Aegean, and Regional Government Authorities (under the auspices of EIT Climate-KIC Hub Greece) is co-organising Climathon 2019 on Lesvos Island, Greece.
Lesvos is the 1st island in the Aegean to kickstart a movement for the wider Aegean, Greece and beyond.
This campaign will help us turn the Avlaki Hope Spot (the first recognised in the Aegean) into a protected marine-diving area, with partners like Mission Blue, high-schools and universities alike to deliver a model that can migrate to other vulnerable areas in pursuit of the United Nation's SDGs. By shifting away from traditional, dominating industry-government dyads, we can grow triadic relationships between universities, industries and governments and move towards a continuous and evolving concept for a circular sustainable economy.
We are a group of ocean lovers, students, environmentalists, scientists, philanthropists, islanders, entrepreneurs, everyday individuals. volunteers, explorers, and more. A collective dedicated to harnessing our planet's blue
