CHOC KZN has a CHOC House and a CHOC Lodge and provides 37 beds at no cost to a child with cancer. All of this is to ensure that child has access to treatment.
CHOC aims to save lives through early detection and making the journey of those who are affected by childhood cancer, less burdensome through the comprehensive support programmes we offer.
We can only provide this service when you donate financially to our worthy cause. We also want to encourage you to participate in our events and be a generous giver to children with cancer.
“ I am a mum of a 4 year old boy who has Hodgkins Lymphoma which is cancer in the glands. It was very hard for me in the beginning because my baby boy was so lost and me being the mum I did not know what to do. He was always crying and he never wanted me to leave his side. But then along came CHOC and saved the day. He actually tells me “Mummy you can take a walk now”. There is no words to explain how sweet these people are. They are truly God sent… I would like to thank CHOC from the bottom of my heart… and to see my baby smile warms my heart”. Lathans mum 8th June 2014

Quarantine is 2nd nature to children with cancer and their primary caregiver. From the time of diagnosis until a child goes into remission, all non - communicable disease protocols have to strictly be adhered to. In this pandemic our children and families are one step ahead in taking care of self.
