Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD's):
We have 18 ECD’s throughout the Northern Cape and North West Provinces. Our centres are in the poorest, underdeveloped, and sometimes remotest areas. Here we help children to develop on cognitive, emotional, and social levels by providing training, support, and assistance.
We take a holistic, integrated, long-term approach to the development of our children. We have +- 900 children in our ECD’s.
Child and Youth Care Centre:
Here a professional service is rendered to all 85 children in need of care in terms of the Children’s Act 38/2005 and other legislation.
Our services at our Child and Youth Care Centre include:
§ Addressing the basic needs of children through physical, emotional, religious, and educational care
§ Assessment and counselling of traumatized children
§ Statutory services to children in need of care
§ Social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists render therapeutic services
§ Play therapy and programs are used to reach traumatized children between the ages of 3-18 years
§ Stimulation and life skills programs
§ Medical services through clinics, hospitals, doctors, and other medical services
Family Care Centres:
We have two family care centres: Caritas Kimberley and Caritas Vryburg.
Here we provide aid to individuals and families within the community. Our aim is to heal and develop the communities that we serve through the empowerment of families.
