Cape Town Cycle Tour 2016: Ride for Hope

Beautiful Gate's Education and After School Programme will support more than 600 primary and high school learners (ages 6-18 years) in 2016. Please donate today! Your donation will help us make a difference in these children's lives.

Our focus is on improving each child's academic abilities in English, Maths and Science, as well as Business Studies subjects at the high school level. Studies show that less than 43% of learners take Maths and less than 32% take Science to Grade 12, while all of the top 100 scarce skills and high demand occupations in South Africa require Maths and Science Proficiency.

Our aim is to help rectify this inequality in our community, and raise a generation of children who will find employment in the South African job market.

Beautiful Gate implements its After School programmes in partnership with 3 local Primary Schools and 4 High Schools and will reach more than 600 learners this year through academic tutoring and homework support.

We also believe in developing character to help children succeed. At Primary School level, children participate in life skills activities that include art, music, dance, and sport. At High School level learners receive career mentoring, exposure to tertiary institutions and job shadowing opportunities. All learners receive digital training and some participate in our coding and robotics clubs.

Our After School programme helps reach children who are at risk of violence, gang involvement and school truancy and creates safe and protected spaces to be after school; reducing negative influences and behaviour patterns through providing services that aim to meet the educational, social, spiritual and physical development needs of these children.

For as little as R250 a month we can help one child. Please help us make a difference in these children's lives by donating today!
