Maybe that’s your long-term running goal, or maybe it’s your idea of a warmup. It doesn’t matter. Whether you’re a pro athlete or a Saturday stroller, if you go it alone or make it a group effort, if you sprint or if you crawl – just do your 5K your way, and raise funds for Kin Culture!
This September we’re kicking off our #5K4KIN fundraiser, and it’s incredibly easy to take part. With the warmer weather, it’s the perfect reason to get outside and active, while supporting Kin Culture’s important work in foster care.
Your impact: The ripple effect
A donation as little as R5 can make a difference to a vulnerable child. The key is in the social sharing and collective effort, the ripple effect that compounds individual efforts to create a result that we could never achieve on our own. If 50 people each donate R5 and nominate 5 others to do their own #5K4KIN, who in turn nominate 5 others, the compound result is R7750 – in just two steps of connection. Imagine what could happen with a few more steps.
Get involved | Four easy steps:
1. Run, walk, jump, skip or crawl 5 kilometres.
2. Share your activity on social media with the hashtag #5k4kin.
3. Donate any amount – as little as R5 or as much as R500 000.
4. Nominate five friends to each do 5K, their way. Tag them on Facebook,
Instagram or Strava, and challenge them to “Run your #5K4KIN!”
