WHO WE ARE

Bright Start is a registered non-profit and public benefit organization. Our purpose is to give children from impoverished communities the chance of the quality education they deserve, so they can dream of a better future – not just for themselves, but for the whole of South Africa. 

WHAT WE DO

The Bright Start team believes that access to quality and holistic education builds intellectual capital and is vital to creating a flourishing society.

We have developed a package to support a child’s development both in and out of school. It is a model that offers results for families and the wider community.

BE INVOLVED

SPONSOR
Sponsor a child through either pre-primary, primary or secondary school. Receive regular updates, get to know your child and their family, or if you prefer, remain anonymous. You will be empowering a family and a community.

DONATE
A monthly donation is the most effective way you can help us keep the bus running, provide internet access for homework and keep our staff helping our children. Or a one-off gift to fund an outing, stationery or school uniform.

FUNDRAISE
Start a Fundraiser. Make Bright Start your beneficiary, whether it’s a cake sale at school, a sponsored run or cycle, or ask for donations instead of a birthday present this year.
