Boston Partners in Education (BPIE) was founded in 1966 with a single goal: to give the children who are struggling in school the tools necessary to become better learners. We recruit and train volunteer mentors to provide focused, individualized support, so that all students in Boston can develop the skills, self-confidence, and motivation to recognize and achieve their full potential. Our mentoring programs help Boston Public Schools (BPS) teachers maximize the number of students receiving individualized support, while also addressing issues of access and inequity by offering mentoring support to students across all subjects and grade levels. 

Though much has changed over five decades, our commitment has never wavered; we proudly stand as the oldest active nonprofit partner of the Boston Public Schools
