Personal Protective Gear

Lifesaving work for a Sea Rescue volunteer crew member can be treacherous. Our brave volunteers sometimes head out in foul weather and rough seas.

It is vital that they have the correct gear to protect themselves, and the patient, from prolonged exposure. NSRI crew members must have the following essentials to rescue in the toughest conditions, every one of them is a life-saving tool in its own right: -

Gath helmet @ R1000; lifejacket @ R1380; wetsuit @ R1620; booties @ R315; gloves @ R180 and rash vests @ R225
