Responding to the growing need for proper education and guidance for young boys in South Africa, Vuleka School have embarked on a project to open an excellent primary school for boys. Although the school has not yet been built, property has been purchased in Houghton close to both St John's College and King Edward VII School. St Johns will be partnering with the new Vuleka School by sharing sports and school chapel facilities. It also provides an excellent opportunity for the St Johns outreach programmes.

The Archbishop Thabo Cecil Makgoba Development Trust has been closely involved in the project with major contributions being made towards building a library for the boys school. To date, the project is one of our biggest beneficiaries.
