Boxes of Blessings

Dear Friends of Goedgedacht

Suddenly Christmas is around the corner and everyone starts thinking of their wish list for Christmas, especially the children!

Working as I do with rural families, many living in serious, distressing poverty their Christmas wish list is very simply: “Will we have enough food to treat us over
the Christmas holidays”?

With your generous help, I can say “Yes you will”.

My plan is to pack a “Box of Blessings” filled with carefully selected
nutritious staple food items - not forgetting some sweets and biscuits for
the little ones.

From my experience of previous years, I can tell you that the families who receive these Boxes of Blessings are overcome, often crying with gratitude and relief that they have been remembered by caring friends in this special way.

I appeal to you to consider gifting a Box of Blessings this year, so that when
you enjoy a happy time with your family and friends at Christmas, you will remember that you have helped a very poor family to also enjoy a happy time with their children.

Thank you for considering my appeal and I want to wish you and your loved ones
special blessings this Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
