The SRC has been working in Mali for many years and since the latest conflict broke out it has been helping the Mali Red Cross in its relief work. The war in Mali has forced whole villages to flee the fighting. The displaced persons are surviving under extremely precarious conditions and are in urgent need of help.

This help, which is provided by volunteers working for the Mali Red Cross, had to be interrupted for a few weeks for security reasons, but can now resume again. The SRC will also extend its aid to include displaced persons in other parts of the country. Two delegates are on site to clarify what is needed in close collaboration with the local Red Cross.
