Vulamathuba is the social and community development arm of Communicare NPC. This social housing enterprise provides low-cost rental housing closer to the economic activity of the city, to about 10,000 residents.

The core focus of Vulamathuba is to provide socio-economic development support to Communicare tenants, (especially those who earn between R1,500-R15,000 per month). Together with valued partners, Vulamathuba implements social support, skills development, life skills and recreational interventions, to empower beneficiaries to change the trajectory of their lives and the communities where they live.

Our work has a footprint in the following areas of the Western Cape, South Africa: Southern Suburbs, Brooklyn area, Bothasig Gardens, Durbanville, Bishop Lavis, Thornton, Ruyterwacht, Mitchells Plain and Hermanus.
