The Timbavati Traverse 2022 has been led on by a super successful 2021 event. This time it is offering not only the tough 45km ultra-marathon but also a half-marathon, 21km, for walkers. This prestigious event brings you closer to nature and opens your eyes to the beauty of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.

Last year, funds were raised to support the reserves wildlife and its protectors (anti-poaching field rangers). This year we are asking you to assist us in fund-raising again for our wildlife and dedicated field rangers but also for our community trust, the Timbavati Foundation. The Timbavati Foundation is the community upliftment arm of the reserve. On an annual basis, the foundation reaches out to over 5000 underprivileged people within our neighbouring areas. Their focus lies on bringing environmental awareness and education to local schools to be able to connect children to wildlife at a young age, giving them the responsibility to protect their heritage, their environment & their wildlife to hopefully one day assist in reducing wildlife poaching.
