Clowns Without Borders South Africa's http://cwbsa.org/ unique approach of humanitarian clowning, physical theatre and capacity building reaches out to children and adults to relieve suffering and loss through artistic expression, laughter and play. In emergency response, the psychosocial support is often forgotten, as vital needs such as housing, food and health is taken care of. Many survivors of natural or manmade disasters can however be affected by trauma for the rest of their lives.

We will be sending experts to work with partners, Gift of the Givers, UNICEF and other non- governmental organisations in Beira, Mozambique and Chimanimani, Zimbabwe. Through performances and workshops, we are able to reach up to 5000 children per week. We will be working with local artists, in order to ensure that the work will continue in the country, after we leave.
