“For some children, (the DIATROFI meal) is the only meal of the day…"

Τhe DIATROFI Program implemented by Prolepsis Institute offers a free, healthy meal on a daily basis to all children attending schools in vulnerable areas all around Greece. Furthermore, the Program promotes healthy nutrition through the meals, and educational materials and activities aimed at the students and their families. Since 2012, over 15 million healthy meals have been distributed to 110,000 students in 650 schools around the country, contributing to the fight against food insecurity and obesity.

There is an urgent need to continue and expand the DIATROFI Program, as demonstrated by the increasing number of applications received from schools every year.

The DIATROFI Program has been implemented with Founding Donor the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the contribution of institutions, organizations, companies and individual citizens.
