The Rainbow Academy (NPO) launches its #SponsorAStudent #SARAFINA (Bright Star) campaign to raise R500.000 for student scholarships in 2019. Funds raised wil cover tution fees, transport, food, instruments, costumes, exams and resources for 40 students in 2019. 

The Rainbow Academy is a registered non-for profit, School of Performing Arts and Business in Cape Town, South Africa, that has mobilized over 400 youth from disadvantaged communities through education in the arts, since 2010. Inspired by the legacy of NELSON MANDELA, the Academy continues to bring meaningful change to the lives of hundreds of South African unemployed youth through fulltime scholarships offered in recognized performing arts, business, creative industries and leadership programmes annually.

: > Recipient of the 2018 South African Business & Arts Awards (BASA) for long term sponsorship & community impact. >Denay Willie, Co-Founder with Frank Gormley, was recently selected to attend the United Nations NELSON MANDELA PEACE SUMMIT in NYC as an ambassador and observer for the Rainbow Academy. >The Rainbow Academy has also recently been nominated for the NEA, MARTIN LUTHER KING AWARD for outstanding contribution to human rights.
