By fusing the rush of surfing with mind/body therapy, W4C provides a child-friendly mental health service to vulnerable and differently-abled youth living in under-resourced communities.

Through access to these safe spaces, caring mentors, and weekly Surf Therapy, Waves for Change kids build the skills to cope with stress, regulate behaviour, build healing relationships and make positive life choices.

Waves for Change has won multiple international awards for its innovative health education and skills training programmes.

We support the training of Waves for Change coaches - all previously unemployed young adults from the townships, as well as key equipment purchases to keep kids on the beach every day. If you would like to help us reach this goal, become an activist, spread the word and help us fundraise.
