UAN Run Austin Marathon for An Education Cause

Universal Angels Network (UAN) is very pleased to announce that, with great support of our members and friends, we will kick-off the New Year 2023 with a very special and exciting event that promotes the organization’s three core missions: healthcare, charity, and education. Let’s join us in this fun and meaningful event.

Health

UAN deeply cares about the wellness of our members, family, friends, and the society at large. A fun and practical way to promote our health is to run/walk together. We are excited have two teams of runners and walkers at the Austin Marathon event on February 19, 2023.

* UAN 5K: led by Ann Huynh and Kiet Huynh
* UAN Half Marathon: led by Ha Phan and Son Nguyen

Charity

As a compassion relief foundation, UAN regularly creates fun and meaningful programs to raise funds so that we can continue to provide humanitarian assistance to those in need around the world.

* Austin Marathon Fundraising Goal: $5,000

Education

Education is key at UAN. Our focus is to develop and support educational programs that teach virtue, kindness, compassion, and joy in selfless giving.

All the money raised during this fundraising event will be used to help Native American students in poverty at St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota combat the extreme and life-threatening winter conditions where the temperatures could drop down to the negative 50s with wind chill. With limited resources, many families living on the remote Native American reservations even had to burn their furniture and clothes for warmth.

By supporting your UAN runners at the 2023 Austin Marathon, you are offering a helping hand to St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota so the school, their students, and families can get through this winter hardship. St. Joseph's Indian School’s mission is to educate and provide a safe living environment for over 200 Lakota (Sioux) children each year - all at no cost to their families.
