Initially, this fundraising was about rehabilitation center for people with transplanted lungs. Until the unfortunate incident occurred in the middle of pandemic crisis that hit the world, Zagreb had the biggest earthquake in 140 years. This earthquake happened on March 22nd 2020  and it hit the old center the most, including all major healthcare facilities. Few hospitals are too damaged to be operational and few are partly operational.

Since the Clinic for Lung Diseases Jordanovac was unfortunately one of the hospitals that had to be closed completely, we think that it’s only appropriate to help the Zagreb and all the people that need medical care in fundraising for rebuilding the hospital. We as Association are partners of Zagreb Marathon for 2 years now and together we create a society that can make a difference.

Given the circumstances we want to stand by our city I hospital that saved our lives and do everything possible to get the Clinic functional as soon as possible.

For that, we need your help and awareness of all the difficulties that affected us. Hopefully this autumn we’ll all have a 29th Zagreb Marathon and new hospital. Everything will be behind us and a lot of miles in front us!
