The project started one sad morning hearing Rhinos had been poached near Finn's home in the Western Cape. Tears became anger but with a little encouragement, Finn decided kids should not be bystanders when it comes to defining the future.

Eight year old Finn decided to make a difference through creating a campaign to generate funds. Finn will be hiking 21km over the weekend of 24 to 26 September 2022 through Thanda Safari, accompanied by Anti-poaching staff, seeing first-hand what they do on a daily basis. 

The funds generated will be split between supporting Thanda Foundation Trust and supporting the efforts of the Thanda Safari Anti-Poaching Unit & Conservation Team, with Finn having witnessed them work tirelessly to protect Rhino and other endangered species. The Thanda Foundation Trust was established to engage with socio-economic, educational & developmental needs of three tribal communities near Thanda. Projects include providing a Crèche, Employment Opportunities, Community Liaison Officers & The Football for Life Program.
