Selati Game Reserve aims to maintain a safe environment for all our wildlife but in particular the highly poached White and Black Rhino. To do so, a large portion of our annual budget goes towards collaring, dehorning, veterinary and helicopter expenses, as well as our counter-poaching units that work tirelessly to protect our fauna and flora. Collars have a limited shelf life and although all our rhino are collared we are required to replace them regularly. Also, new technology is always being developed that will help to monitor the population better such as tags.
Collaring, tagging, annual dehorning, and protection of Rhino run into the millions of Rands each year and we are looking for your support.
