Over the past few weeks, the province of KwaZulu-Natal, in South Africa has been hit by heavy rains and destructive floods. Thousands of people have lost their homes, their loved ones, their livelihoods. Many traders’ goods have been affected. Over 400 people have died and 40,000 were left homeless. The disaster has been more impactful on the poor, the informal economy workers and the street vendors, who are now in need of your urgent  financial help.

Our affiliate organization the South African Informal Traders Alliance (SAITA) is currently engaged on the ground to help the people in need. StreetNet calls for donations to support them.

How is your donation going to help?
- Assisting the affected communities with basic necessities such as food
- Help people re-organise their activities and get back to work as soon as possible
