Songo graduates, Zola Ngxakeni and Ntlantla 'Jersey' Nonkasa, benefited from the life-changing impact of the programme. As young adults, they are living Songo's objective, of enabling every child "to be a confident, well-rounded individual who is gainfully employed and a contributing member of the community".

Zola is now a junior technician at Specialized in Stellenbosch, accumulating skills that are highly in demand, and which will ensure rewarding employment for his entire working career. After studying sports management at eta College, Jersey is now a coach at Songo.

For both of them, the route to successful adulthood was neither predictable, nor straightforward, and as they relate in this video, the time they spent at Songo while growing up was critical to this.

They are racing for the Exxaro jersey at the Absa Cape Epic in 2022. Not only are they examples of the programme's impact, but they are  role models for the children currently in the programme.

Please help them 'pay it forward', by donating to this campaign, so that the life paths of future generations of Kayamandi children can be similarly impacted.
