The Healing Hands project provides interpersonal counseling, group talk therapy, psychoeducation resources, and specialist & community services referrals through artwork in Dar-es-Salaam. This campaign will support weekly interventions by 2 grandmothers (aka Wisdom&Wellness Counselors) for 1 year. Clients learn traditional beading as a skill during one-on-one counseling and group talk therapy sessions. The Wisdom&Wellness Counselors also provide business mentorship and coaching. The project promotes the economic growth of the trained grandmothers who are implementing psychosocial interventions in Tanzania underserved communities. Funds raised from the beaded jewelry will help sustain free & accessible mental health services, support, and resources.

The Healing Hands project will economically empower people to achieve financial autonomy by building entrepreneurial skills and embedding skills transfer within the community - reducing poverty as a driver of ill mental health.
