Young children in the community of Masiphumelele live in the harshest conditions of high level of poverty and HIV/AIDS. The Homes to Grow flagship runs two foster homes in Masiphumelele, a township in Cape Town's far South Peninsula, South Africa. These foster homes provide nurturing family environments for children and provide them with the opportunity to grow up without the stigma of living in institutional children’s homes.
On February 19 2018, Nicole (with partner Mareleze) is climbing mount CAYAMBE in Ecuador to help raise funds towards our two foster homes. Cayambe is one of the highest peaks in Ecuador with a altitude of 5790 m above sea level. Going through this physically and mentally challenging experience for these children speaks of the passion Nicole has to transform these young children's lives. We hope Nicole's determination to make a difference will inspire you to support us. Should Mt Cotopaxi stop erupting by February, the climb will take place there rather as it is the 2nd highest peak in Ecuador, Cayambe being the 3rd.
Your CARE and CONTRIBUTION towards this great cause will make a huge difference in the children's lives.
