We're Going The Distance!
Our 2021 Boston Marathon runners are going the distance so that our mentors can, too! Like running a race, building a successful mentoring relationship requires training, consistency, and a lot of practice. Boston Partners in Education's academic mentors meet with students each week for the entire school year – this allows mentors to build a consistent relationship with students that results in greater impact on their academic and socio-emotional growth. Your donation to our marathon team funds this work, enabling more mentors to provide students with the additional support they need to stay in school and graduate!
About Boston Partners in Education
Boston Partners in Education (BPIE) was founded in 1966 with a single goal: to give the children who are struggling in school the tools necessary to become better learners. We achieve this by mobilizing community members to serve as volunteer academic mentors to K-12 students in the Boston Public Schools. BPIE mentors meet students wherever their classrooms are, during the school day, to help students fill gaps in their knowledge.
