WWF (the World Wide Fund for Nature) is one of the world's largest and most respected independent environmental and conservation organisations, with almost 5 million supporters and a global network active in more than 100 countries. At WWF South Africa, we aim to inspire people to value the natural environment and resources that underpin the well-being of our country. We work on various fronts to stop and, where possible, reverse environmental degradation. These initiatives include ensuring that our beautiful places and our species' habitats are conserved, that there is ongoing fresh water supplies, that fish and seafood stocks are well managed, agricultural practices are sound and that we explore using renewable energy sources. Ultimately, we aim to build a future where all people live in harmony with nature.
