The South African Shark Conservancy (SASC) is an Non Profit Organisation dedicated to promoting the conservation and sustainable use of sharks & living marine resources. We are a registered public benefit organisation with tax exemption for donations.
We are currently running a number of research projects with a focus on long-term ecological monitoring, elasmobranch conservation, trophic ecology and effects of climate change. Our main goal is to support the South African Government's National Plan of Action for the Conservation and Management of Sharks II.
Our research lab is based in the coastal town of Hermanus, situated on the shores of Walker Bay, South Africa.
SASC is looking for donations, big and small, to contribute to the operation of the organisation.
