MSF, WORKING FOR OVER FORTY YEARS TO HELP THE MOST VULNERABLE
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent medical organisation founded in 1971 by a group of doctors and journalists. The Swiss section was established in 1981 as a non-profit organisation with headquarters in Geneva and an office in Zurich.
For forty years, MSF has provided medical assistance to people whose health or lives are threatened by armed conflicts, epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or a lack of access to healthcare.
The humanitarian principles of NEUTRALITY, IMPARTIALITY and INDEPENDENCE have been the pillars of MSF's work since its foundation. The organisation's independence is rooted in its funding, more than 80% of which comes from the generosity of private donors.
Today, the organisation runs 384 projects in 63 countries around the world.
