The Kay Mason Foundation offers scholarships to children who have the potential to become future leaders but who don't have the means to attend a school where they can flourish.
At the age of 21, South African born writer, Richard Mason, published his first novel and it was an instant bestseller – selling over a million copies worldwide. A little overwhelmed, he decided to invest the proceeds in the country of his birth and in 1999 Richard, together with Nobel laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, started the Kay Mason Foundation (in memory of his late sister) to offer scholarships to Cape Town’s top high schools.
Join the Kay Mason Foundation and you, like Richard, can make a personal connection with a future leader - supporting them financially and following their progress each step of the way. Your donation will help pay for their school fees, textbooks, stationery, uniforms, school transport and school lunches as well as provide psycho-social support to these young men and women. Every donation helps, it takes a village to raise a child.
