For the past 5 years The Cycle of Life has been involved in raising funds for rhino conservation in KwaZulu Natal through their main fundraising event being the Cape Town Cycle Tour.
With over R 1 million raised, and a team of over 100 cyclists, we will continue cycling under the banner The Cycle of Life with the slogan #HelpusHelpourRhinos. With the support of our international riders, The Cycle of Life was able to register as an NPO in Germany with a branch in South Africa. Funds raised have been used for various projects including rhino dehorning, surveillance equipment, anti-poaching guarding equipment and vehicles used by the anti-poaching unit as well as educating, training and employing people from the local communities. Injured animals have received medical attention and a rhino orphanage received funds for food and medicine too. We are proud of all of our cyclists from different schools who create awareness and raise funds as we believe that the future of conservation lies in the hands of our youth.
