Three mountains, three charities, three different reasons.
Three of a kind is an epic cycling adventure being undertaken by two young men, Ross Bernard and Matthew de Vroet, in June 2018.
Bernard and de Vroet will tackle the legendary “Everesting” challenge, riding the same climb by bike until they’ve reached the total elevation of Mount Everest, all 8,848 meters of it. They’ll have to ride over 250km up and down the same mountain to get this elevation, both a huge physical and mental task.
However, they will not only be attempting this mammoth challenge once, but three times…in a single week.
With an immense challenge ahead of them, the boys have picked three legendary climbs to hit their challenge with. Starting with Mount Ventoux in Southern France on Tuesday June 12 before the infamous slopes of the Col d’Izoard on Friday the 15th. They’ll then attempt to finish their challenge on arguably the most famous climb in cycling, Alpe d’Huez which will be attempted exactly a week after the first “everesting” on the 18th of June.
