On the 2nd of September 2018, I will be running the beautiful and brutal 360 km ultra race called Swiss Peaks. I will be crossing a large part of the Swiss Alps and on my way I will have 27 000m of positive ascent to digest.
By doing this race, I will support the South African NGO Masikhule which has a very beautiful purpose:
"Masikhule aims to break the cycle of poverty through education. They train over 300 women from marginalised communities in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and mentor up to 30 ECD Centres per annum. Through this they impact positively on the emotional, social and intellectual development of more than 1 800 young lives every year."
Last year, I lost my heart in South Africa and fell in love with the warmth and generosity of its people. Being a father myself, I know how important it is to guide children during their first years on this planet.
Through your support, you will help Masikhule in expanding their educational library and allow them to buy more classroom material such as books, toys and educational games.
In December of this year, I will visit them myself and help them in the field on one of their projects. The results of your gifts will have a direct impact on the future of the children in the Western Cape!
