As a Global Citizen for CAC, I will be volunteering for four weeks in four different cities in India. In each location, our team will be working with local coaches, leaders and programs as part of a three year plan to design, develop, and implement a curriculum for 'Education Outside the Classroom'. This curriculum aims to empower local leaders to both educate the country's youth about serious social issues within their communities, and to enable them to find solutions to these problems. Many of these issues include female empowerment, conflict resolution, and HIV/Aids education, among others.

Below are the programs and locations that we will be working with directly:

  • Week 1: Naz Foundation in Delhi, India
  • Week 2: Slum Soccer in Nagpur, India
  • Week 3: Football Link in Rajasthan, India
  • Week 4: YFC Rurka Kalan in Punjab, India

I am very excited to join CAC to use the unifying nature of soccer to bring about positive change. My goal is to raise $7,500 for the CAC organization, as donations allow CAC to impact the lives of youth all around the globe.

Here are some suggestions to “sponsor” each day of our work over the four weeks:

  • $5/day for each day of on-field work for a total of $100
  • $3/day for each day of on-field work for a total of $60
  • $1.50/day for each day of on-field work for a total of $30

Again, I truly appreciate any and all donations, as your support will directly allow me, other Global Citizens, and CAC staff members to embark on our journey across India. Thank you in advance for your consideration; I will be sure to provide updates throughout my trip!

Thank you again,

McKenzie
